An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual to work with the Housing Options service to help clients under threat of becoming homeless.
The key objective will be to prevent homelessness. Prevention officers are required to undertake a homeless assessment, produce innovative solutions and practical help clients either to remain in their homes, or to help them find and move into alternative accommodation.
The post holder will need to have team working skills, the ability to produce innovative solutions and be forward thinking to help develop the service. The post holder will be required to provide excellent outcomes for vulnerable clients and high quality customer service.
Experience of homeless legislation and working with the public will be an advantage. You may be required to work until 19:00 hours to meet the demands of a very busy service.
