The Education directorate is seeking an experienced and highly motivated manager to lead the schools admissions team and be responsible for the management of the agreed Admissions policy for Cardiff.

Reporting to the Partnerships & Performance Manager, you will manage admissions applications for nursery, primary and secondary schools in the city and ensure that in-year admissions and transfers are processed in an efficient and timely manner. You will also manage admissions appeals, ensuring appropriate representation at appeals hearings, in collaboration with legal services.

We are looking for a well organised, efficient and resilient manager to lead this frontline service for education, at a time of significant increasing demand for school places in the city. An excellent team manager, able to continually improve performance and business processes, you will play a critical role in delivering high quality customer services.
