We are looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Licensing Officers within the Rent Smart Wales Contact Centre and assist in providing a high standard of customer service to our service users via telephone and email.

Licensing Officers are required to support and advise a wide range of customers, both internal and external. The post holders will ensure that our customers receive the highest level of customer service and that their enquiries are resolved at the initial point of contact, where possible.

The successful candidates will have experience of working in a customer focused environment, have excellent communication and customer service skills and take an enthusiastic and responsible approach to all tasks.

Rent Smart Wales requires landlords to register and become licensed or employ a licensed agent in their place to undertake letting and management tasks. Cardiff Council has been designated as the single licensing authority to administer this legislation across Wales.

The service was established in November 2015. It benefits from web based systems designed with the customer in mind, contact centre telephone technology, partnership arrangements with the 22 authorities across Wales and is being supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign being led by Welsh Government.

This is a unique opportunity for you to be at the forefront of professionalising the rented sector in Wales.  

Critical to the teams’ success is to have the customer at the centre of everything that we do. Investment is in place to ensure that our bespoke systems continue to develop to ensure that the most advanced technology is available to help ensure that the service is as easy to navigate and fit for purpose as possible.   Significant attention is given to training and supporting the staff group to ensure that a consistently high service level is secured.
