An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with a successful track record in helping some of the most vulnerable clients looking for work.
The Youth Employment Mentor will work on the MILES project within the Into Work Advice Service. The post-holder will have responsibility for intensive employment mentoring support for young people under 25, who are living in hostels or supported accommodation.
The post will work from a number of outreach locations across the city, namely hostels and other youth buildings.
You will be working in the community as part of a small team. You will have experience of working with and supporting young people into work.
You will have experience of providing excellent customer service, supporting people back to work, work well in a team and have a flexible approach. You will have exceptional communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, Somali, Arabic or Polish would be an advantage.
