Looking for a new challenge?  The Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) the front door to Cardiff Children’s Services may be for you! Fast paced, office based, no case holding but with a constantly changing work load the Children’s Services MASH team is looking to recruit a suitably experienced Principal Social Worker.

Cardiff is a vibrant multi cultural city and this is reflected in the many issues referred to the service.  As a Worker in the MASH Team, you will be responsible for providing casework supervision to lower graded team members and assist in practice development and special projects with various professionals including; police, health and politicians, decision making at a critical early point.

This is an exciting time to be joining the team with the introduction of the Social Service & Wellbeing Act (SSWB Act) and the development of the MASH which means the team is based in a co located unit at Cardiff Bay Police Station with partner agencies engaged in the Safeguarding agenda.

The work involves timely risk assessment of contacts / referrals to the MASH and the early identification of those at risk including multi agency strategy discussions for decision making and safeguarding actions.

This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check and South Wales Police Vetting procedures.
