Calling all communications and media professionals - an exciting opportunity to join Cardiff Council's central Communications and Media Team has become available.
If you have excellent communications skills, a creative flair and a desire to make the difference to how we engage with our citizens, communities and staff, we want to hear from you!
If you love writing, getting involved in key projects, have a passion for creative thinking and can demonstrate at least 12-months’ experience of working in a dedicated public relations or marketing role, this position is one not to miss.
This permanent position will give you a unique insight into how one of the largest organisations in Wales ticks, and will provide you with an array of opportunities to showcase how the Council, its services and its workforce strive to make the difference for the people of Cardiff.
You will be expected to think on your feet, have a flexible approach to working and you'll need to have a good understanding of the digital platforms which currently dominate the communications agenda.
The job is very fast-paced but also very rewarding, you will get a chance to work with many different people, services and projects which will help develop your communications and media portfolio. You'll also have an opportunity to influence and project manage key Council campaigns, both internally to our 16,000 staff and externally to members of the public.
Being able to speak Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
