An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated candidate to work within the Housing Solutions team.
The responsibilities of the post will be to update process maps, procedures and new housing services offered by the Council. This will involve liaising with different departments within the Council, together with outside organisations. This is important to ensure Cardiff Council are delivering a complete and up to date service in every area of advice and guidance.
Therefore a good knowledge of Housing Advice is needed, as well as Welfare Reform and the forthcoming changes to the benefit system.
The successful candidate may also be required to write and deliver training and briefings, support staff and carry out quality checks of work as well as maintaining their own workload. You must be able to work independently where necessary and therefore the successful candidate must have the ability to prioritise work, manage their time effectively and be able to adapt quickly.
The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, Somali, Arabic or Polish would be an advantage.
The post will be working within all the outreach hubs around Cardiff.
