An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing & Communities Service Area for five Advice Officers (Landlord Services), four permanent and one temporary until April 2019.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing face to face support assisting council tenants and leaseholders with the welfare reform changes. You will have a good knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit legislation and procedures as well as a good understanding and knowledge of dealing with welfare reform issues.

You will require be able to adapt and learn quickly to follow complex procedures as well as being able to meet changing deadlines and be extremely flexible. You will also have experience of working with IT systems, the ability to work as part of a team and good communication skills.

The service area is currently undergoing a significant number of changes, and the right individual will need to be able to embrace and deliver change quickly in order to meet the requirements of the service.  This includes planning for the implementation of Universal Credit.

This will be an exciting opportunity to become part of the Landlord Services section, you will need to motivate and influence others, working co-operatively across services areas to achieve positive outcomes as well as to plan strategically for the needs of the service.
