This vacancy is only available to employees of Cardiff Council including Cardiffworks and Agency Workers currently engaged with the Council.

The Cardiff Youth Offending Service is a multi agency partnership developing innovative interventions for children and young people aged 10-17 who have offended or are at risk of offending.

The DART Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) project is part of the Early Intervention and Prevention team at Cardiff Youth Offending Service.  The team works with young people who have been issued with warnings under the ASB legislation as a result of their problematic behaviour within the community.

The team offers comprehensive assessments of young people and their families that inform individually tailored intervention packages.  In addition young people and their parents/carers are given the opportunity to complete a self assessment where they identify their own needs.  Work undertaken uses a restorative approach and could include offending/anti-social behaviour focussed session, substance misuse, family support and involvement in diversionary activities.

You will be responsible for supervising a number of Young People who have voluntarily assigned up to participate in a prevention programme.  This will include assessment and intervention planning and attendance at multi-agency Problem Solving Groups.
