This vacancy is only available to employees of Cardiff Council including Cardiffworks and Agency Workers currently engaged with the Council.

A permanent position has become available with the Money Advice Team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed individual with excellent customer care skills to join the Money Advice Team.  You will have knowledge of the Welfare Reform Act and the options available to help those affected.

The position will be based mainly from Central Library Hub but will include outreach hubs and foodbank distribution centres.

The successful applicant will help provide a professional face to face welfare benefit and money advice service to customers. You will also assist to encourage financial and digital inclusion by providing practical assistance to help customers ‘get on-line’ and assist clients to get back to work.

You will have experience of working with customers on a face to face basis and a commitment to providing a high quality customer service. You will have good communication and IT skills and the ability to resolve disputes in a positive and constructive manner. 

You will work well in a team, have excellent communication skills and have a flexible approach.

Experience of working in a benefit or money advice environment would be a considerable advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.

The ability to speak other languages, in particular Welsh, Somali, Arabic or Polish would be an advantage.
