This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £8.45 per hour (scp 6 – 12 only). This supplement will be reviewed in April 2018 and thereafter annually in April.  Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.

A unique opportunity has arisen within Human Resource People Services (HRPS) for a part-time Administrator for Cardiff Council’s Occupational Health Unit. 

The postholder will work Monday to Thursday with the expectation to be able to contribute to the rota and work until 6pm once every 2 weeks. The unit is currently based at Nant Garw, but will be relocated to new premises during the summer of 2019; the location has yet to be determined. 

Reporting to the Administrative Support Officer, the purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective administrative support to team members in the delivery of an effective Occupational Health (OH) service.

The successful candidate will maintain medical confidentiality at all times and ensure medical records are stored safely in accordance the National Midwifery Council (NMC) Guidelines.

You will have experience of working in an office setting.   You will be required to simultaneously undertake reception duties and administrative tasks, therefore you will you will have experience in the use of word processing in an office context and the ability to communicate clearly both in writing and orally. 

You will demonstrate the ability to work as a team member and must remain calm under pressure.  You will be organised and have the able to skilfully prioritise workloads, completing deadlines for diverse workloads.
