Cardiff Council aims to provide a high quality, accessible service. We currently have two vacancies for Tenancy Sustainment Assistants.

To identify tenants and leaseholders who require Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans; and to ensure that Evacuation Plans are completed and managed for residents/leaseholders.

To provide advice about tenancy and leaseholder conditions, ensuring that tenants/leaseholders receive the support they need to maintain their tenancies/leases.

To deal with any identified Tenancy Team fire safety actions.

To support the Tenancy Sustainment Officers in helping tenants with complex personal needs maintain their tenancies by providing an intensive housing management service.
You will have experience of working within a housing related environment and of using new technology; experience of working with customers and visiting them in their own homes would be an advantage.
You will need to have good communication and customer care skills and will be able to deal with disputes in a positive and constructive manner. You should also have the ability to work as part of a team, and able to follow complex procedures.
Knowledge of housing law would be an advantage but are not essential.
