An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Housing and Communities Directorate of Cardiff Council for a Compliance Officer. 

The post will be based within the Building Improvement Team at Willcox House, Cardiff but the work will involve periods off site, (potentially lone working) at Council owned buildings and various social housing locations throughout the city.
 
You will secure, administer and promote business legislative and H&S compliance across the Service Area.  The post holder will be responsible for providing an effective management of processes and systems to ensure compliant service delivery, ensuring capability and integrity.  You will support the maintenance and monitoring of asset information as well and identifying areas for training and development. 

This successful candidate will have experience of working in a health & safety environment and will ideally have a NEBOSH, IOSH and/or Asbestos qualification.  In addition to having excellent communication and writing skills you will also be able to work to rapidly changing deadlines, short timescales and be extremely flexible.  You will also have experience of working with IT systems and be able to work as part of a team.

You will have shared responsibility (with one other) for the supervision of a small team of Compliance Assessors.
