An opportunity has arisen for an engineer in Cardiff Council’s highway assets team within the Planning, Transport and Environment directorate.
We are looking for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic highway engineer to help us prepare and deliver the Councils annual capital highway improvement programme.
The successful applicant will demonstrate relevant engineering experience; a good knowledge of contract preparation and management (ideally NEC3 or NEC4), experience of site supervision, preparing bills of quantities and an understanding of CDM; together with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage a varied and challenging delivery programme.
