An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced manager to lead and deliver the council’s new build housing programme.

The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a council housing build programme across a diverse range of sites throughout Cardiff including viability, procurement and managing the post-development processes. 

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the new-build project team supporting their role and for monitoring the performance of external contractors and consultants. They will control resources and associated budgets to ensure an efficient and cost effective service is provided.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with a strong track record of managing new build housing projects, identifying development opportunities and managing resources effectively whilst achieving high levels of performance and outcomes.

The right individual will have the vision to identify future opportunities for the department and the ability to plan strategically for the needs of the service.
